UPS employees stole Swarovski products, facing crime charges

byLuis Neuman
January 20, 2022

LOUISVILLE, KY- 7 UPS employees were involved in organized crime and will face charges as they stole jewelry boxes during their shifts.

Reportedly, an investigation was started on Jan. 3 following suspicions that Adianez Herrera, Esther Gonzales, Yanelis Castro, Leonel Ruiz Pavo, Jose Lavin Torres, Aleman Napoles, and Alisbex Galvon Herrera were involved in criminal activities at their workplace.

They were caught stealing Swarovski products from UPS, which led the company to a loss of approximately $12,000 in merchandise that was accounted for from the boxes that were found in the trash.

The damage to the company could be much more because some of the jewelry boxes are unaccounted for.

The suspects could be seen how they are wrapping the packages in paper and then throwing them in the trash, where later the boxes were found empty.

They appeared in Jefferson District Court on Tuesday, where six of the suspects were given $10,000 cash bonds, and one suspect was charged with tampering with physical evidence and was given a bond of $20,000 cash.
