LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A motorcyclist died Thursday afternoon following a collision with a Jeep in the Valley Station area, according to Louisville Metro Police.
The crash occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Valley Station Road and Grafton Hall Road, located off Dixie Highway near Deering Road. Police say the Jeep was traveling westbound on Valley Station Road when its driver attempted a left-hand turn onto Grafton Hall Road. During the turn, the vehicle struck the motorcyclist.
The rider was transported to University of Louisville Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Jeep’s driver was also taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Louisville Metro Police Department’s Traffic Unit is actively investigating the incident. No charges have been filed at this time. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased.
