Man Stabbed in Beechwood Village; Relative Arrested in Connection with Attack

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is recovering after being stabbed early Sunday morning in the Beechwood Village area of Louisville. The incident occurred just after 5 a.m. in the 100 block of Marshall Drive, off Shelbyville Road, when officers responded to a disturbance call. Upon arrival, authorities found evidence of blood at the scene but were unable to locate the victim.

Hours later, a man in his 20s arrived at University of Louisville Hospital seeking treatment for stab wounds. The Louisville Metro Police later confirmed that the injured man was the victim of the assault on Marshall Drive. Police say the man is expected to survive his injuries.

The victim identified 23-year-old Capdevilla Yoglis Rodriguez of Louisville as the individual responsible for the attack. According to the victim, Rodriguez is a relative, though further details regarding their relationship have not been disclosed.

Rodriguez was taken into custody and charged with assault. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment on Monday morning. He is currently being held in Metro Corrections on a $75,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court again on March 25.

Lyndon Police are leading the investigation into the stabbing, and authorities have not yet released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the altercation.

This incident marks the latest in a string of violent events in the area, sparking concerns among local residents. As the investigation continues, officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.
