LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was found shot to death Sunday morning in the Russell neighborhood of Louisville, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).
LMPD responded to a call at approximately 10:30 a.m. reporting a person down in the 2700 block of Cedar Street, located near West Muhammad Ali Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
LMPD spokesperson John Bradley confirmed the victim’s death, and the department’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. No further details regarding the identity of the victim or potential suspects have been released as of yet.
