Man Found Dead After Shooting in East Louisville

Louisville, Ky. — A man was shot and killed in east Louisville on Tuesday afternoon, prompting an investigation by the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).

According to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3800 block of Riveroaks Circle, located near Chamberlain Lane, just after 4:15 p.m. Upon arrival, police discovered the victim, who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The LMPD Homicide Unit has since taken over the investigation. As of now, there are no suspects, and no arrests have been made.
