LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jeremy Dale, a former high school teacher in Bardstown, Kentucky, has begun serving a 60-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to charges of sexual abuse and harassment involving students.
According to law enforcement reports, Dale, who was in a position of authority, engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a female student on two occasions. Additionally, he was accused of harassing several other female students.
Dale was placed on administrative leave in early February 2023 as Bardstown High School and local authorities conducted investigations. Following his arrest later that month, he was terminated from his teaching position.
Police issued a warrant for Dale’s arrest on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of harassment involving physical contact. He subsequently turned himself in to authorities.
The case underscores ongoing concerns about student safety and the responsibilities of educators entrusted with their care.
