Louisville Police Investigate Hit-and-Run Incident Involving Child in Fairdale

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police are actively investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a child injured in the Fairdale neighborhood on Thursday evening.

According to Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) spokesperson John Bradley, the child was transported to Norton Children’s Hospital following the incident. Fortunately, the injuries sustained were not considered life-threatening.

The hit-and-run occurred in the vicinity of Fairdale, and the suspect vehicle was reported to have fled the scene toward Fairdale High School. LMPD’s Third Division is currently leading the investigation into the incident.

In an effort to solve the case, police are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has video footage is urged to contact the LMPD’s anonymous Crime Tip Line at (502) 574-LMPD (5673). Additionally, tips can be submitted anonymously online through the department’s Crime Tip Portal.

As the investigation unfolds, LMPD continues to encourage community involvement to help identify those responsible for the hit-and-run.
