One Dead After Multi-Vehicle Crash in Okolona

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A fatal crash occurred in the Okolona neighborhood of Louisville Sunday afternoon, leaving one person dead and another hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Louisville Metro Police (LMPD), the collision involved two vehicles and took place at the intersection of Outer Loop and Minor Lane around 3:20 p.m. LMPD Sergeant Matt Sanders reported that the vehicles collided in a “T-bone” fashion, with one vehicle striking the side of the other.

Tragically, one of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries, but authorities believe these are not life-threatening.

LMPD’s Traffic Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash. At this time, no charges are expected, as authorities continue to gather information.

The names of those involved in the crash have not been released pending further investigation and notification of next of kin.

This incident marks another reminder of the importance of road safety and awareness as the community mourns the loss of life and wishes for the swift recovery of the injured individual.
