Louisville Woman Arrested in Connection with $25,000 Retail Theft Ring

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A 26-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a theft ring that stole thousands of dollars worth of products from several Bath & Body Works stores in the Louisville area.

Keaisha Tyson, of Louisville, is accused of being one of six individuals involved in a series of thefts between October 2024 and February 2025. Investigators say the group swiped over $25,000 worth of merchandise from three Bath & Body Works locations in the region, including stores on Dixie Highway, Summit Plaza Drive, and Towne Center Drive.

Tyson was arrested on February 18, 2025, on charges of theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting) and engaging in organized crime. Authorities say Tyson was captured on surveillance footage driving a white 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was used during the alleged thefts. Following her arrest, Tyson reportedly confessed to stealing the merchandise and reselling the items after being confronted with video evidence.

Court documents reveal Tyson’s history of similar offenses. She was arrested in late January 2025 for allegedly stealing over $880 worth of fragrance items from Von Maur on Shelbyville Road. Tyson had also previously pleaded guilty to shoplifting from the same store in March 2024.

At a court appearance on February 19, Tyson was arraigned on the latest charges. The judge set her bond at $10,000, and her next court hearing is scheduled for February 27, 2025.

The case highlights growing concerns about organized retail crime in Louisville, with authorities intensifying efforts to crack down on theft rings targeting local businesses.
