According to the 6-year-old boy’s sister, Kayla, her young brother\u00a0has been bullied for a while by the neighbors. It escalated to a deadly intent and the little boy could\u2019ve died.\u00a0Although the young victim, Dominick, thankfully survived the gruesome attack, he is not out of the woods as he battles the severe second- and third-degree burns that cover his face and legs. The 6-year-old boy\u00a0was playing with other children in the backyard of his family\u2019s home. He was with other children, who are reportedly tenants in the home, when one of the children decided to play with fire.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Kayla, the neighbor, who was not identified due to their age, covered a ball in gasoline, lit it on fire, and threw it at him. Her brother, Dominick, had second and third degree burns on his face and leg. Kayla also said that her brother is going to be scarred for life mentally and physically. \u201cMy six-year-old brother could\u2019ve died. The kid covered a ball in gasoline, lit it on fire and threw it at him. All in a matter of seconds,\u201d wrote the victim\u2019s sister, Kayla Deegan, on a GoFundMe page. \u201cHe\u2019s going to be scarred for life mentally and physically.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Kayla also said that an eight-year-old child, a neighbor, entered the property and broke into the shed where he was able to get his hands on gasoline, lighters, and the tennis ball that he would later throw at the boy\u2019s face. The sister said that after the bully threw the ball at Dominick, he ran away and watched him burn. The boy was taken to a hospital in fair\u00a0condition.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kayla was furious that her brother was attacked.\u00a0\u201cThe assailant has a history of bullying, and he has gotten away with too much. The mother thinks he is innocent. The family thinks it\u2019s a joke,\u201d Kayla wrote. \u201cEven though Dominick can\u2019t talk because he\u2019s in a lot of pain and all swollen, he said to my mom, \u2018Please don\u2019t take me back there.\u2019 This is extremely unfair and shouldn\u2019t ever happen to ANY CHILD!!!
