Per reports, the 24-year-old man,\u00a0Kahlied, was working at a hotel as a waiter when Joana and her husband of 20 years visited Egypt. While talking with Kahlied, Joana reportedly\u00a0admitted that she hadn\u2019t slept with her husband for almost a decade.\u00a0One night when her husband was not at the table, Kahlied came over and convinced her to spend the next day with him in the city.\u00a0“He was so flirty from the start that I knew he fancied me. We were talking and he made me feel sexy for the first time in years. I began sneaking out in the afternoon to meet him while John was lounging by the pool,\u201d she said. \u201cI wanted to sleep with him from the first day I met him but Hassan said that we\u2019d need a fake marriage certificate first. Egypt is strict about premarital sex so we couldn\u2019t rent a room together without one.\u201d, the then-45-year-old woman reportedly said.<\/span><\/p>\n

They found a fake marriage certificate and rented an apartment so they could have inter-ourse.\u00a0“It was incredible, he was so young and keen. It was the best se* of my life – mindblowing after 10 years of no physical contact. I knew then that I had to leave my husband. We\u2019d gone a decade with no physical contact at all. It was no way to live – it was no longer a marriage. It was the end of my trip but Kahlied wanted to see me again so even on the way home I was making plans to return,” Joana said.\u00a0After getting home, she ended her marriage and confessed to the affair.\u00a0Joana recounted: “He was furious but he\u2019d suspected something was going on. We didn\u2019t have kids but we had seven dogs together.”\u00a0For two months, she worked night shifts and sent money to Kahlied to pay for food and bills.\u00a0“I sent him $400 to help out. I didn\u2019t ask for proof, I trusted that he was telling me the truth,” she said.<\/span><\/p>\n

When she returned to Egypt, they used\u00a0their fake marriage certificate, they rented an apartment and spent their days sunbathing and getting inti-ate.\u00a0Joana said: “We were having se* all the time, we just couldn\u2019t get enough of each other. But after a couple of weeks, Kahlied kept disappearing for days at a time, saying he needed to visit his family.”\u00a0She claimed that on one occasion, he left her for two days without any money so she had to get work at a nursery to make money quickly.\u00a0“I\u2019d try to ring him but there\u2019d be no answer. After splitting from my husband I had no savings, the cash I\u2019d brought with me was all I had,” she said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Growing increasingly suspicious about his disappearances, she asked their neighbors where Kahlied was going.\u00a0“One [neighbor] said that he thought Kahlied had gone home to have an engagement party as he was due to get married. I was devastated but over text Kahlied insisted it wasn\u2019t true and when he returned after 10 days he denied it,” she said.\u00a0At the end of August, he asked her to go home for a few weeks. He claimed that the apartment was too expensive and that Joana needed to save more money because he couldn\u2019t support them on his salary.\u00a0While on the way home,\u00a0Kahlied had a surprise for her.\u00a0He admitted that he\u2019d married an Egyptian girl, and called Joana “fat and old.”\u00a0“I just didn\u2019t understand. He\u2019d told me that he\u2019d loved me, why lie?” she asked.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite her experience, Joana went back to Egypt to work as a nursery teacher because she “didn’t have anything” keeping her back home,\u00a0“I didn\u2019t go out there looking for love. I just love the country and wanted to be back there,” she said.\u00a0She never heard from Kahlied again after he blocked her on social media.\u00a0When reached for comment, Kahlied said: \u201cI’m so sorry about the money. It was because I am poor.
