LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman in her late 40s died Friday evening after a single-car crash on Interstate 264 East near the 8-mile marker.
According to Jordan Brown, a spokesman for the Shively Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash. Upon arrival, police found that the woman had driven her car off the roadway and into a ditch.
Despite the efforts of first responders, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is still under investigation, and authorities have not yet released her identity.
The cause of the crash remains unclear, and police are working to determine the factors that led to the fatal incident. No further details have been provided at this time.
