LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred at a McDonald’s on Preston Highway at Phillips Lane on Tuesday evening. Officers responded to the scene shortly after 5 p.m., where they discovered a man, believed to be in his 30s, suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.
The victim was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital with injuries that, according to LMPD spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders, are not considered life-threatening. Although the exact location of the shooting remains unclear, police believe the incident may have happened in the 5000 block of Preston Highway, possibly on the roadway.
The LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is currently leading the investigation. No arrests have been made, and there are no suspects at this time.
