According to the health officials, drinking soda is not good for a person’s health because it contains lots of sugar. Consuming too much soda may lead to weight gain, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions. Multiple studies connect soda consumption with obesity, diabetes, and other health issues. Kids who drink soda are also less likely to drink milk, and lose out on nutrients because of that.
This man, George, decided to drink 10 cans of soda every day for a month to see what it would do to his body. The results are rather surprising. George has always been a person who is healthy and tries to show other people how to eat healthy and exercise. He challenged himself to drink 10 cans of soda so that others could see just what the drink could do to the human body. In only a month, George transformed himself from a healthy and active man to one with love handles and extra padding on other areas of the body. Another issue that George found was that he was becoming addicted to the drink. He didn’t want to stop drinking it, just like someone who drinks alcohol or smokes.
George was taking in 900 more calories a day than he had originally been doing, according to The Daily Mail. It was also 250 grams of sugar. He gained about 25 pounds in 30 days just because he started drinking soda every day. His blood pressure also went up while his energy level decreased. When he stopped drinking the soda, he lost five pounds in four days. Many social media users commented: “All you people that say people don’t drink 10 cokes a day are sadly uniformed. There are LOTS of people I know that drink sodas all day long every single day. When I was a kid I would choose soda over water any day of the week. I hardly ever drink soda as an adult now but like I said I know people that still drink it all day long. Compound that with people that drink jack and coke for their evening drink of choice and you can see where I am going with this.?” one user said.
“A can of coke has 150 calories. 10 can a day would be 1,500 calories a day. If he drank ten cans of coke a day plus maintained his normal daily calorie intake of course he would gain weight. Now there are 39g of sugar is one can of coke. For ten cokes a day that is 390g of sugar. That is an outrages amount of sugar intake a day. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), the maximum amount of added sugars you should eat in a day are Men: 150 calories per day (37.5 grams or 9 teaspoons). Women: 100 calories per day (25 grams or 6 teaspoons). Why would anybody put their body through all this just to make a point? This is all common sense?” another added.
