LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in critical condition following a stabbing in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood on Sunday evening.
The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) responded to the incident at approximately 7 p.m. in the 300 block of North 27th Street. Upon arrival, officers found the victim inside a home, suffering from a stab wound. Officers immediately began performing life-saving measures until emergency medical services (EMS) arrived at the scene.
The victim was transported to the University of Louisville (UofL) Hospital, where his injuries were deemed critical and life-threatening. Due to the severity of the injuries, the LMPD Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.
At this time, police have not determined a motive for the attack and are working to gather more information. No suspects have been identified, and investigators are urging the public to come forward with any relevant information that could assist in solving the case.
