Louisville, Ky. — Authorities arrested a 24-year-old man, Dante Patterson, in connection to several shootings that have taken place across Hardin County, Kentucky. Patterson, facing charges of attempted murder, assault, and wanton endangerment, was taken into custody after a series of violent incidents on Saturday afternoon.
Around 1 p.m., Radcliff Police responded to a shooting on Wood Creek Drive, where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was quickly transported to UofL Hospital via medical helicopter. While the injuries were reported as non-life-threatening, the situation quickly escalated as investigators connected it to a string of other shootings in the area.
A caller provided a description of the vehicle Patterson was allegedly driving at the time of the incident. Officers later discovered the car abandoned nearby, but Patterson was found in the vicinity with a handgun and multiple boxes of ammunition.
Chief Jeff Cross of the Radcliff Police Department confirmed that the shooting on Wood Creek Drive was believed to be part of a larger series of violent incidents that also included shootings on Park Avenue, Skyline Drive, and Braxton Court.
As the investigation continues, Patterson’s arrest citation indicates that additional charges could be filed. Authorities are actively working to determine whether the shootings are connected and whether other suspects may be involved.
