Louisville, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) is currently investigating the disappearance of 49-year-old Latasha White, who was last seen in the Park Hill neighborhood on April 27. A missing persons report for White was filed on May 1, and the case has been assigned to the Missing Persons Unit.
According to Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins, D-District 1, White’s family reported that her last known communication was on April 28 at approximately 3 p.m. Family members said there were no signs of distress in the texts and phone calls exchanged during that time. However, when they went to check on White, they noticed a series of unusual circumstances.
One of the most concerning details is that the security cameras at White’s home were found to be turned off, which Hawkins noted was out of the ordinary. Additionally, White’s keys were missing, but her car, wallet, ID, and cell phone were all left behind inside the residence.
White is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 220 pounds. She has dreadlocks and four gold front top teeth. She is also known to wear glasses and has several tattoos on her body.
The disappearance has raised alarm within the community, and LMPD has declared it an open and active investigation. Police are asking anyone with information regarding White’s whereabouts to come forward. Those who may have seen White or have any details that could assist in the investigation are urged to contact the LMPD at 502-574-LMPD (502-574-5673) or to dial 911.
As authorities continue to search for answers, family members and the community remain hopeful for White’s safe return.
