Indiana Law Enforcement Raids Two Massage Businesses, Rescuing Victims of Human Trafficking

Louisville, KY – A 62-year-old woman was taken into custody on Monday after a coordinated operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies from several Indiana counties shut down two massage businesses. The investigation, which centered around allegations of prostitution and human trafficking, led to the rescue of four victims.

The Jeffersonville Police Department launched an investigation into Eva Massage, located at 1002 E. 10th Street, after receiving tips from the community. Following a thorough investigation and the gathering of evidence, authorities discovered suspicious activity consistent with illicit operations at the business, prompting a raid.

At around 10 a.m. on Monday, officers from the Jeffersonville Police Department, Battle Ground Police Department, New Albany Police Department, and the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office served search warrants at both Eva Massage and another unnamed business in New Albany. The search operations were part of a broader effort to address human trafficking and illegal prostitution in the area.

During the search, investigators uncovered evidence that four victims had been forced into sex trafficking. Authorities immediately provided medical care and connected the victims with support services to assist in their recovery.

Following the operation, 62-year-old Xing Song was arrested and charged with promoting human sexual trafficking, promoting prostitution, and corrupt business influence. Song is now facing serious criminal charges related to her role in the illicit operations.

Jeffersonville Police expressed their gratitude for the assistance of the Southern Indiana Human Trafficking Coalition, which provided vital resources and support for the rescued victims. Authorities also thanked their law enforcement partners for their collaboration in the investigation, which officials hope will serve as a deterrent to other illegal activities in the region.

The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by local and regional law enforcement to combat human trafficking and exploitation. It also underscores the importance of community involvement, as tips from concerned citizens played a crucial role in initiating the investigation and bringing the criminals to justice.
