LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A former bus driver for Greater Clark County Schools has been arrested on charges related to inappropriate conduct with a 14-year-old girl. Josh Inzer, who also played bass guitar for the southern Indiana cover band The Juice Box Heroes, is facing multiple charges, including child solicitation, child seduction, and sexual misconduct with a minor.
The incident reportedly occurred on December 17, 2024, when Inzer visited the girl’s home to return a pencil case she had lost earlier that day on his bus. According to the girl’s account, Inzer arrived at the house around 8:40 p.m. and was initially greeted by the girl’s mother. The mother told police that when she attempted to close the door after taking the pencil case, Inzer placed his foot in the door frame and pushed his way into the house.
The girl, who had just gotten out of the shower and was dressed in a towel, later told investigators that Inzer showed up unannounced at her bedroom door. The girl’s mother, who was in another room attending to a crying baby, reportedly tried to keep Inzer in the living room. However, Inzer entered the bedroom, sat on the bed, and allegedly made inappropriate comments to the girl. At one point, Inzer is accused of asking the girl if she had shown her breasts to anyone, to which she responded, “No, I respect my body.” He then allegedly asked to see her breasts.
Police reports indicate that Inzer later admitted to making “stupid” comments but claimed he did not remember exactly what he said. He also allegedly lifted his shirt and knelt in front of the girl while hugging her several times. The girl reportedly moved as far back on the bed as possible and knocked on the wall to try to alert her sister.
Inzer, who had been a bus driver with the district for six years, was interviewed by police on January 17, 2025, a month after the alleged incident. In his statement, Inzer claimed he felt comfortable going to the girl’s home because he had known the family for years. However, his version of the events differed significantly from the girl’s account. Inzer told investigators that the girl’s mother had invited him inside and directed him to her bedroom, calling the situation “awkward” and stating that his comments were made to “break the awkwardness.” He admitted that the situation should not have occurred.
The Greater Clark County Schools district confirmed that Inzer had resigned from his position as a bus driver following the incident. The district also stated that he is no longer employed with them. Neither Inzer nor his attorney have publicly commented on the charges.
The Juice Box Heroes band, which Inzer had been a member of, also responded to the allegations.
